# Manage users

You need the **Account Manager** role to manage users.

{% hint style="info" %}
User management permissions are role-based.

If **Users** does not appear in the left menu, switch to **Account Manager** in the top bar.
{% endhint %}

Open **Users** in the left menu to access the user list.

The user list shows all existing users.

Use it to review details, edit access, or change a user status.

### Create a user

Complete the required fields.

Under **Portal**, select the roles to grant.

When you create the user:

* The user receives an email with a temporary password.
* The activation link stays valid for `24` hours.
* You can assign only roles that you already own.

### Role permissions

The portal behavior depends on the active role.

| Role                            | Main permission                                        |
| ------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| Account Manager | Create, edit, and delete portal users. |
| Client Service Delivery Manager | View service usage statistics. |
| D1 CCI Operator | Search consumers, cards, and digital cards in the CCI. |

### Delete a user

* Open the user list and select the target user.
* Remove the user from the list view.
* Deleting a user removes portal access.
* Confirm the removal before you continue.
